The window to our world
New Thinking for New Times
We believe we need new thinking for new times in people, leadership, business and society.
Why? We believe we are facing a future Blackswan world with more volatility, greater uncertainty, increased complexity and unbelievable ambiguity.
We believe the speed of change will exponentially increase and we cannot solve our current or future problems with the same level of thinking that created them in the first place, that’s the why.
As for what we need to do and how we do it - Join us on June 19 as our Chairman and one of top global executive coaches Maurice Duffy shares his thinking
In slower moving and less complex business environments the old hierarchical model that depended mostly on only a few people at the top for leadership simply doesn't work anymore. In today's more volatile, uncertain and ambiguous business battlefield, decentralised controls and leadership through collaborative networks of people at all levels is imperative for success. Telling business leaders these days that leadership drives performance is a bit like saying that oxygen is necessary to breathe. Our research shows that over 80% of businesses already planning to increase investment in leadership development because they see it as the single most important human development issue their organisations face. And they’re right to do so: blackswan research has consistently shown that good leadership is a critical part of organisational health, which is an important driver of performance and shareholder returns. The big question many of us face is what sort of leadership behaviour organisations should encourage. Is leadership so contextual that it defies standard definitions or development approaches? Should companies now concentrate their efforts on priorities such as role modelling, making decisions quickly, defining visions, and shaping leaders who are good at adapting? Should they stress the virtues of enthusiastic communication, collaboration and curiosity? In a series on webinars Maurice Duffy one of the top global Coaches will share with you New Thinking for New Times where he will draw upon his work with the best organisations and share the changes in sees revolutionising businesses and leadership.
