Today women will be celebrated across the globe as International Women’s Day arrives.
International Women’s Day is a worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements – from the political to the social – while calling for gender equality.
Observed since the early 1900s, it is recognised each year on March 8th.
At Blackswan, 70% of our workforce is female. Karen Lee is our CEO, a mother, wife, local business woman, councillor, and supporter of women in leadership.
History stopped women taking on the leadership roles they were destined for, but we strongly believe that the past should not shape our future destiny.
Women in leadership has a great many people talking, but are they really just rearranging their prejudice?
Great women leaders understand the need to:
Be the enterprise
Have a solid core
Be comfortable in discomfort
Operate without a safety net
Be innovative beyond imagination.
These types of behaviours set women leaders apart. Great leaders inspire other great leaders, and shape our emerging, next generation of talented women.
Blackswan, as providers of global leadership development and coaching solutions, can apply expertise in providing a lasting and sustainable change journey that will augment positive change that is cascaded down and across the organisation, working towards a collaborative and progressive culture.
We identify those who want to shape a future; a future where all talents are understood and embraced. More importantly, where all talents are mobilised to create that future, not just be a passenger of it.
Don't let being a woman stop you from being the leader that you're destined to be. No business can ever truly flourish if it stifles the potential of its women. Do not wait for someone else to lead. Look in the mirror, it’s you.
So let’s celebrate women today, and always.
