William B. Bonvillian speaks about taking technology into new territory.

WIlliam B. Bonvillian, Director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Washington D.C. Office, spoke at the Innovate to Success conference hosted by blackswan.  Attended by over 170 delegates, the conference explored how the world’s biggest businesses successfully harness innovation for business success.

At MIT, Bill works to support MIT’s strong and historic relations with federal R&D agencies and its role on national science policy. He is well-respected within US government circles as he spent 17 years as a senior policy advisor in the US Senate. He is a prolific author on innovation with a book and numerous articles to his name. 

As a recognised expert on US governmental innovation, Bill gave a broad insight into his experience as a former Director of DAPRA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) which is an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of new technology for use by the military.
