10.00: Opening Keynote- An introduction from Blackswan and what to expect from the day
NHS on Collaboration: Jim Mackey, Chief Executive, NHS Improvement
Following brief introductory marks from Blackswan, Jim Mackey will open the agenda highlighting that effective collaboration and the strengthening of local partnerships is fundamental to the success of the NHS, and leads to delivery of key objectives.
Building Relationships for Collaboration: Rebecca Stephens, Leadership Expert
Rebecca Stephens, the first British woman to have climbed Everest and an experienced business leader and coach, uses a range of case studies and exercises designed to challenge the decision making and influencing approach of leaders, highlighting the considered, systematic and ethical approach politically savvy leaders take in attaining their objectives.

11.50: Collaboration for Innovation: Maurice Duffy, CEO Blackswan
Maurice Duffy will highlight that the NHS has, since its inception, been an incredibly innovative organisation despite external commentary to the contrary. This workshop will take participants through a journey to understand the power of effective collaboration to inspire collective innovation.
12.30 - 13:00: Lunch and networking
13.00: Parallels in the Public Sector: Patrick Melia, Chief Executive of North Tyneside Council
Patrick Melia will illuminate the parallels that exist between the NHS, local councils, the public sector and the private sector in general. Patrick will portray the benefits of effective collaboration set against an environment of increasingly stringent cost constraints and a governmental and legislative demand for increased efficiencies.
Influencing Others: Preethi Nair, Professional Storytelling Specialist
Preethi Nair is noted as one of the top global professional storytellers. Preethi joins us in Newcastle fresh from her new show, and work with the BBC and ITV to demonstrate the power of effective storytelling as a way to engage, inspire and motivate a variety of stakeholders.

14.35: Innovative Digital Strategy: Kirsty Lord, Maverick Television Executive Producer
Kirsty Lord has a leading role in the Digital department for Maverick Television and is responsible for developing and creating digital content and platforms for a variety of clients, including some of the UK’s best known brands and organisations and building an award winning digital portfolio. Kirsty will focus on the importance of having an innovative digital strategy to capitalise on opportunities and to help open up avenues for wider and faster innovation and collaboration.
