Santha Kumar

Biography:

Santha Kumar is an executive coach, experienced corporate leader and trained psychotherapist who partners with his clients to bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be.  Santha coaches leaders across industries in a variety of senior leadership roles, from senior VPs and general managers to CEOs and founders. 

Santha has decades of experience as a senior executive in multinational corporations. His last corporate role was as CEO of Tandem Computers in Singapore where he turned a two-country operation into a large and successful organization that included South and South East Asia, Hong Kong and China. His previous role was Managing Director at NCR Malaysia. 

Santha believes leaders need to seek out authentic leadership - where they are able to achieve results and influence others while also being true to themselves. He has unqualified respect for his clients and enjoys working with leaders who are willing to stretch themselves by experimenting with new behaviours and taking on new personal challenges.  

Santha began his coaching career with the Asian Leadership Institute in Singapore. He has coached senior executives in multinational corporations including Standard Chartered Bank, ITT, Reuters, and BHP.  Santha has international and multicultural experience; he has lived, worked and studied in Asia, Europe and the US. 

He is a practicing Buddhist, keeps himself physically fit by gyming, swimming and trekking through the Himalayan region, plays the African Jembe, is excited about photography and is an ardent fan of Manchester United. He is a Trustee of an NGO, which creates crèches at building sites for migrant labourers’ children.
