Dave Jacobs

Biography:

 

Dave Jacobs brings practical experience working with leaders, teams and organizations to improve their operating effectiveness.  He has worked both internally and as a consultant and coach to numerous companies across multiple industries, in U.S. and in International settings.  

His internal experience includes over 15 years as a member of four senior executive teams, leading organizational effectiveness interventions ranging from large-scale change to Lean Six Sigma.  He has served as Director-level roles of Organizational Effectiveness for Rockwell International, United Space Alliance, and James River Corporation, and as Global Leadership Development for Rio Tinto.

Dave’s consulting work has included leader coaching, leadership development, employee engagement, organization design, team effectiveness, measurement, process improvement and change management. His clients have included Cummins Engine Company, Johnson and Johnson, The Dial Corporation, Olin Chemicals, The Department of the U.S. Navy, Waste Management, Shaw Industries, Rockwell International, NASA, and Rio Tinto.

He offers a professional, yet practical approach focused on implementation and achieving objectives.  He has worked successfully at all organization levels, and has experience in union-management partnering.  His coaching approach is based on helping leaders to improve their leadership effectiveness through identifying opportunities and developing and carrying out the plans to meet them.

Dave was presented the NASA Public Service Medal for his post Columbia accident work with leadership culture change at Johnson Space Center in 2004 and 2005. He received a Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior from the Marriot Graduate School of Business at Brigham Young University
