Tony Hughes is Head of Commercial and Legal at blackswan. A successful and well-respected financial advisor with a wide experience in wealth management, Tony joins us from St James Place Wealth Management, where he was a Partner based in Newcastle.

With a high level of experience in putting together strategies that assist in the planning of the future growth and development of SMEs, Tony also ensures that commercial and legal planning are in place to protect our established business interests.

Tony has 27 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry, in roles that range from running very large national sales forces with Board level responsibilities, to providing high net worth corporations and individuals with complex wealth management and corporate finance advice based solutions.

Born, educated, and having lived most of his early life in Newcastle, Tony moved to the south of France where he assisted in running the family restaurant business. Having later returned from a period living in South Africa, Tony ran businesses in the catering and entertainment industry.

Having lived in Durham City for the past 17 years, Tony is happily married with 3 lovely daughters.
